SERVO VOLTAGE STABILIZER : LOAD SURVEY SHEET

For a better understanding of a Customer’s requirement of a Servo stabilizer – we have designed the following Format. The Idea is that normally a Customer asks for a voltage stabilizer of particular capacity. He does not specify other parameters of his requirement. Result is that quotations received by him from various suppliers donot have parallel grounds of quoting. One of the BASIC PARAMETER determining cost is the RANGE OF INPUT VOLTAGE – though other parameters are also important. To aid the buyer – we have given below the reasons of his analyzing his USAGE REQUIREMENT & we hope that some time spent in filling these details will help in buying a GOOD PRODUCT.

  1. INPUT VOLTAGE RANGE

Say 160-260 volts for 1 Ph. or 300 - 470 volts / 360 -440 volts

for 3 Phase - this specifies the existing site conditions of voltage or the voltage range within which the supply voltage fluctuates, through the period of 24 Hours - 12 Months - or One Year. Customer must specify this carefully - as this range determines as much as the cost of stabiliser as is the size / KVA capacity.

The lowest of the Low Voltage & Highest of the High Voltage encountered - over the past ever,  may be indicated.

Our standard units are in the range of INPUT VOLTAGE RANGE SPECIFICATIONS : 175-250,160-260, 170-270, 140-270, 140-290 in Single Phase & 360-440, 320-460,300-470 & 260-470 V – 3 Phase ranges. YOU MAY ALSO SELECT ONE RANGE FOR A SPECIFIC QUOTATION.

Covering the INPUT RANGE is like determining the HIGH FLOOD LEVEL in an area to fix up a DAM HEIGHT. Worst of Voltage on LOW SIDE & Worst of Voltage on HIGH SIDE occurring should be covered for SPECIFYING INPUT VOLTAGE RANGE.

  1. Level of Output Voltage

220/ 230 or 240 volt ofr 1 Phase units &

380/ 400/ 415 volts for 3 Phase units or any other .

With respect to Industrial Buyers – they must ascertain the VOLTAGE RATING OF MACHINE. Machines from JAPA, Italy or other placers may be rated for 380 Volts & other places 415 Volts. After a Stabiliser is manufactured for 415 Volts – it becomes electrical inefficient if the same is set to 380 Volts & similarly 380 Volts Stabiliser – may not give good performance for 415 Volts Rated Machines. If the customer is not sure – of 415 or 380 Volts – he should choose 400 Volts. Any adjustment of OUTPUT VOLTAGE away from RATED VOLTAGE of STABILISER carried out after installation of STABILISER also affects the rated INPUT RANGE VOLTAGE RATING.

FOR LIGHTING LOADS – predominantly – 380 Volts 3 Ph. / 220 Volts 1 Ph. May be more recommended.

We also make DUAL RANGE STABILISERS but they are costlier. They provide TWO SEPARATE 3 PHASE OUTPUT VOLTAGES & one- 380 Volts  can be used for LIGHTING & 415 Volts for POWER. These DUAL RAGE STABILISERS are also ENERGY EFFICIENT & USE TAT TECHNOLOGY – different from BBT – BUCK BOOST TEHNOLOGY.

  1. CAPACITY IN KVAs

If possible, indicate below rated load if each machine, by giving name of machine, HP or KVAs, heating loads, thermostatically controlled loads, lighting loads separately. Filling CONNECTED LOAD TABLE further helps in determining CAPACITY of STABILISER in more precise form.

  1. TYPE OF LOAD

Domestic / Industrial / Commercial /  CNC Machines / Computers / A.C Plant / Lifts / COMPRESSORS / WELDING SETS / POWER PRESSES / Printing Press /  or Any Specific Machine / or  any other type of  load may be specified .

  1. WHETHER the requirement is for a BALANCED TYPE VOLTAGE STABILISER or UNBALANCED TYPE in case of a three phase stabilizer.

A BALANCED TYPE STABILISER has ONE Phase Controlled while other phases just follow the Same proportional correction as is applied to the corrected phase  & there is ONE CONTROL Motors , ONE  Electronic Controllers CARD  & ONE Three Phase Common Shaft VARIABLE TRANFORMER incorporated Power Units.

In  a UNBALANCED TYPE STABILISER – all three Phases are corrected INDEPENDENTLY & there are three Motors , three Electronic Controllers & Three Single Phase VARIABLE TRANFORMER incorporated Power Units.

A Balanced type stabilizer is suitable for BALANCED INPUT & BALANCED LOAD environment & does not remove UNBALANCES on the INPUT VOLTAGES or UNBALANCES taking place due to three phases being un equally loaded. This provides UNEQUAL & UNBALANCED OUTPUT VOLTAGES in the Output side if on the Input side – the voltages are unbalanced. Some offers donot high light this feature for reasons of costs as they want to project themselves cheaper & lower . Such units have One MOTOR & ONE CONTROLLER & are cheaper than unbalanced type units.

A UNBALACED type stabilizer removes UNBALANCES on the INPUT VOLTAGES or UNBALANCES taking place due to three phases being un equally loaded & provides correct EQUALLED voltages in all three phases.
